A drone attack on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s home village of Qordaha on Friday resulted in the death of one person and minor injuries to another.
A drone attack also took place in the government-controlled northwest region of Salhab on Thursday, in which a woman and a child were killed.
The drone strikes in the areas between Qordaha and Salhab, 35 kilometers away, come as clashes between Syrian government forces and rebels continue in the northwest.
Qordaha is 10 kilometers from Russia’s Hamaimam airbase, after Syria claimed Russian warplanes had carried out strikes in rebel-held areas.
Syrian government forces have increased the number of military personnel on the front lines.
It should be noted that the ongoing clashes on the front lines in Syria have stopped, Bashar al-Assad’s government has regained control over most of the country with the help of Russia and Iran.
But the rebels are present in a few areas near Qardaha and Salhab in Idlib province.
