Famous singer, actress and model Misha Shafi has admitted in her statement in the court that singer Ali Zafar is still a successful artist.
A hearing was held in the Lahore Sessions Court on the defamation claim filed by singer Ali Zafar against singer Misha Shafi.
Singer Misha Shafi completed the cross-examination of lawyers on her statement.
Later, the court adjourned the proceedings till July 20.
Proceedings on defamation claim filed against Misha Shafi:
During the hearing, lawyer Ali Zafar asked Misha Shafi a question and said, “Do you think Ali Zafar was the most successful artist of Pakistan before the allegations?”
To which the actress and singer replied that she is still there.
Lawyer Ali Zafar asked if you knew that international companies would not work with a person when sexual allegations were made, to which Meesha Shafi said, “I was not thinking about that.”
During the hearing, lawyer Ali Zafar further questioned Meesha Shafi, asking whether he had made allegations of sexual harassment to weaken Ali Zafar financially.
Responding to which Misha Shafi said that it is wrong, I was the first woman in Pakistan who raised her voice, I raised her voice on other forums including MeToo.
They said that it is wrong that I did not produce any witness on the allegations of harassment.
It should be noted that Ali Zafar has filed a defamation claim against Misha Shafi for making sexual allegations.
