Pakistan requested to change the warm-up match against Afghanistan before the Cricket World Cup.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested to conduct the warm-up match with a non-Asian team.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has placed Pakistan’s warm-up match against Afghanistan in the proposed World Cup schedule.
Sources say that the reason for not playing Afghanistan is to compete in the Asia Cup already.
According to sources, PCB is of the opinion that there is no justification for playing warm-up against Afghanistan after the match in the Asia Cup.
Sources said that the PCB has written a note to the ICC in which it says that it will be better for Pakistan if the match is played against a non-Asian team.
