Pakistan cricket team’s middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed has said that my goal is to play the World Cup and bring success to the team.
In a conversation with Geo News, Iftikhar Ahmed said that he is happy to return to the team, a comeback happens when you are out of the team due to performance.
“Always the top order performs, so I didn’t get much chance in the middle order, sometimes 2 overs, sometimes 3, sometimes 5, not much chance,” he said.
The middle-order batsman added, “My focus is to perform well and give success to the team. As a professional, I think whether I play 2 balls or 5 balls, I play for my team.”
He said that he played the last match against Australia, sat out in the West Indies tour, my role in the team is that of a finisher, I always try to fulfill this role.
Iftikhar Ahmed also said that the management always says go and play your natural game, wherever I get a chance, I enjoy my cricket.
