ODI matches;  Preparations at the National Stadium have reached a peak

Karachi: Preparations for the final 3 matches of the ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand at the National Stadium Karachi have reached a peak.

The three matches of the five-match ODI series will be played in Karachi on May 3, 5 and 7 respectively. Preparations are underway at the National Stadium, various parts of the main building including the Chairman’s Boxes, PCB Gallery, Dressing Rooms and Hospitality. The boxes are being painted.

Along with the renovation of various enclosures, the seats in the stands have also been washed, the installation of high-resolution cameras in the stadium is in progress, there will be complete surveillance of the enclosures, ground, pavilion, interior of the stadium, adjacent roads and buildings, the command in the stadium. The end control room is also being adapted to modern requirements, the condition of the ground is also being improved, the curators are active to improve the quality of the pitches.

Sources say that after severe criticism in the recent past, such supporting pitches will be made for the matches where both batsmen and bowlers have equal opportunities, spinners may also get help due to hot weather.

On the other hand, once again the disinterest of the spectators has worried the PCB authorities, the online sale of tickets for the three matches is not encouraging, along with issuing complimentary tickets to fill the stands, students of schools and colleges can watch the matches for free. It has also been decided to give an invitation, there is not even a sign of publicity campaign regarding the matches in the city.
