Karachi: A fire broke out in a 10-storey building located in Shahrah Faisal within the limits of Firozabad police station.
According to the details, a fire suddenly broke out in the second floor of the Mehdi Tower in Shahrah Faisal area, which also engulfed the other eight floors of the building.
Due to the fire, the office staff in the building were trapped after which three fire brigade vehicles and a snorkel tried to control the fire and the fire was brought under control after about 2 hours.
Office staff in the building were evacuated safely. Assistant Commissioner Ferozeabad Umima Solangi says that there were fire protection equipments in the building, a detailed report regarding the causes of the fire will be prepared soon.
On this occasion, SP Jamshed Shoaib Memon said that there were 150 people in the building who were evacuated safely and there was no loss of life.
