In view of the explosion in the Peshawar Police Lines Mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tragedy of Tanda Dam Kohat, a one-day mourning is being observed at the official level across the province today.
According to Express News, the national flag is hoisted on government buildings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Directorate of Archeology and Museum, Chief Minister House and Secretariat.
As a result of the suicide blast inside the mosque of Police Lines police station, 92 people, including the imam of the mosque and officials, have been martyred, while more than 48 people have been injured.
After the explosion, emergency was imposed in all the hospitals of Peshawar, the injured and dead bodies were transferred to Lady Reading Hospital, an appeal has been made to give blood to the injured in the hospital.
On the other hand, 10 students drowned after the madrasa students’ boat capsized in Kohat’s Tanda Dam. Officials said that 18 students have been rescued so far, in which 10 students died while 8 are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
