According to the details, in the past, facilities for urea and blood diagnostic tests were available in the 200-bed Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad laboratory. On a daily basis, about 100 patients used to come and 4 to 500 tests of all types were done. According to hospital sources, now only CBC and urea tests are being done in this hospital while no biochemistry test is being done in the hospital at present.

Patients admitted to the hospital alleged that many doctors and medical staff do not come to perform duties during the afternoon and night hours, due to which most of the wards of the hospital have no doctors or staff to attend to the patients. Administrative affairs in the hospital have been severely affected.

Sources said that in the past, an average of 60 to 70 patients were admitted to the hospital, but now it has reached such a point that patients have stopped visiting this hospital and now about 7 patients are admitted to the hospital.

Patients and doctors say that there is no one to ask questions in the hospital, no one even comes for treatment. The Sindh government should take immediate action and rectify the situation of the hospital.

There is no anti-rabies vaccine to be administered after dog bite in the hospital, while the Supreme Court has clear orders that it is the responsibility of the hospital authorities to ensure the provision of anti-rabies in the hospital.

The CT scan, lithotripsy, phaco machine, collar doppler echo and CTG machine are broken in the hospital. In the past, more than 100 x-rays were done daily, but now the hospital staff has come down to arbitrariness and only do 50 x-rays daily. .
