Eliminator 1 of HBL PSL Season 8 will be played today at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi.
Shadab Khan, the current captain of the Pakistan cricket team, and Babar Azam, the former captain, will face each other.
Islamabad is the only team to have won the PSL twice, while Zalmi has played in all the playoffs of all editions of the PSL.
The losing team will have to go home while the winning team will have to win against Lahore Qalandars to advance to the final.
Islamabad’s Azam Khan scored 280, Faheem Ashraf scored 210 and Colin Munro scored 294 runs while Hasan Ali scored 12, Shadab Khan and Fazlul Haque Farooqui took ten wickets each.
On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam has scored the most 416 runs, Cade Moore and Saeem Ayub have scored 309 and 309 runs, while no bowler has been able to get 10 wickets in bowling, Wahab Riaz has got the most 9 wickets.
