Steve Smith will lead the Australian cricket team in the ODI series against India.
Cricket Australia has said that Pat Cummins will not return to India for the ODI series, with Steve Smith leading the charge in his absence.
The ODI matches between Australia and India will be played on March 17, 19 and 22.
David Warner, who was injured in the Test series, has been included in the ODI squad.
David Warner could not play the last two Test matches due to an elbow injury.
Pat Cummins flew back to Australia after the second Test to take care of his mother, who had died a few days earlier.
It should be noted that Steve Smith led the Australian cricket team in two Test matches.
