Due to scanner malfunction, import goods vehicles got stuck at Torkham border

Peshawar: Hundreds of import cargo vehicles have been stuck for the past three days due to scanner malfunction at the Torkham border.

According to border clearance authorities, the country’s exchequer receives 54 million rupees per day in terms of duty from Afghanistan’s imports.

National Logistics Cell (NLC) spokesperson Mushtaq Ahmed says that the software of the Torkham import scanner has been corrupted.
