Accounts frozen by PIA for non-payment were restored on assurance of payment of Rs 50 crore.

FBR sources said that the national airline owed Rs 2.86 billion in federal excise duty.
On the same issue, the FBR officials had frozen all the accounts of PIA yesterday, but the bank accounts were restored after the intervention of PIA and the assurance of immediate tax payment of Rs 50 crore.
