Quetta: In the explosion in Khuzdar district of Balochistan, three persons including President of Press Club Muhammad Siddique Mengal were killed.
On World Journalism Day, an explosion took place on Sultan Ibrahim Khan Road in Chamrok area of Khuzdar district of Balochistan, in which three people including president of Khuzdar Press Club Muhammad Siddique Mengal were killed while around ten people were injured.
According to the police, the explosion was carried out by remote control, in which unknown terrorists targeted the car of the President of Khuzdar Press Club while going from home to university, in which Siddique Mengal died on the spot.
The pedestrians who were injured in the incident were shifted to the hospital. As soon as the explosion was reported, the officials of the police rescue teams reached the spot and surrounded the area and collected the evidence.
According to media sources, the president of Press Club Khuzdar received a death threat in a letter received last month. Apart from this, a few months ago there was also a shooting incident on him, in which he was safe.
