Lahore: The local people caught and imprisoned a rare breed of Nile cow coming from India, the Punjab wildlife staff rescued the female Nile cow and transferred it to the Wildlife Park Heads of Sulaiman.
According to the details, a Nile cow that strayed from India in search of food was caught and tied up by local people in Duphi, a suburb of Pakpattan. Express News got the video of the rare breed Nile cow being tied up.
On the other hand, Assistant Director of Wildlife Sahiwal Naeem Tahir said that as soon as he got the information about the incident, he sent his team to the area, which rescued the female Nile cow and shifted it to Headslimanki Wildlife Park.
According to Naeem Tahir, the female Nile cow was badly injured and was given immediate medical assistance. He also said that a male Nile cow was also rescued from the border area some time ago.
It should be noted that often Nile cow, sambar and other wild animals stray from India and reach Pakistan in the eastern border areas of Pakistan.
So far, dozens of Nile cows and deer have been rescued and transferred to other zoos including Lahore’s Wildlife Park, while many animals have been released back into their natural environment.
