Sheikhupura: The police registered cases against 770 people for displaying weapons during the election campaign.
According to RPO Sheikhupura Babar Sarfraz, a large number of weapons were recovered from the election candidates and their supporters while conducting a grand operation across the district before the election.
830 different bore weapons including 226 Kalashnikovs were recovered from the possession of the accused. Cases have been registered against 770 people under various provisions.
The police say that there is a strict ban on the display of weapons. Making the election peaceful is the responsibility of the police, which we will fulfill. No one will be allowed to cheat.
