Quetta: A police officer on duty was killed as a result of firing at the Regional Election Commissioner’s office in Turbat area of Balochistan.
According to the details, unknown persons opened fire at the Regional Election Commissioner office in Turbat area of Balochistan, as a result of which a police officer on duty was killed.
According to police officials, the victim was identified as Nimroz son of Shabir, who was a resident of Meri Kalg.
Meanwhile, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan condemned the firing incident in the Regional Election Commissioner Office Turbat and sought a report from the Home Department and also condoled with the families of the martyred officials.
Ali Mardan Khan Domki said in his statement that ‘the incident is condemnable and a conspiracy to disrupt the peaceful election process, the purpose of firing at the election commissioner’s office in Turbat is to spread fear and panic’.
He said that he will ensure provision of a peaceful and conducive environment to the public and the candidates.
On the other hand, a time device exploded in Tehsil Sui of Dera Bugti area of Balochistan as a result of which two people were injured.
