Lahore: Due to the increase in cases of pneumonia in Punjab, the provincial government has announced 7-day holidays for nursery and playgroup classes below class one.
Morning assembly has also been banned in schools across Punjab till January 31.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed concern over the increase in cases of sample among children. He has instructed that children should use masks and wash their hands, warm clothes should be used.
Since January 1, 36 children have died of pneumonia in Punjab and 8 out of 10 children are suffering from pneumonia in the Children’s Hospital. With the increase in cold, the viral pattern is increasing, especially in children.
It should be noted that the 22-day winter vacation has ended in Punjab including Lahore and educational activities have started in all public and private schools from today.
