PSL franchises announced the names of retained players

Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises have announced the names of the retained players for the upcoming season 9.

Lahore Qalandars:

Defending champion team Lahore Qalandars retained Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, David Wesa, Sikandar Raza, Abdullah Shafiq, Zaman Khan, Mirza Tahir Baig and Rashid Khan.

Lahore Qalandars appointed fast bowler Haris Rauf as their brand ambassador.

Karachi Kings:

Karachi Kings retained James Vince, Hasan Ali, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik, Tabriz Shamsi, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Akhlaq and Mohammad Irfan Khan.

Karachi Kings also appointed new team entry Shaan Masood as brand ambassador.

Peshawar Zalmi:

Peshawar Zalmi has retained Babar Azam, Raomin Powell, Saeem Ayub, Tom Koehler Cadmore, Mohammad Haris, Aamir Jamal, Khurram Shahzad and Haseebullah Khan.

Young batsman Muhammad Haris has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Peshawar Zalmi.

Quetta Gladiators:

Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators retained Sarfraz Ahmed, Riley Russo, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Jason Roy, Vanandu Hasaranga, Muhammad Hasnain, Abrar Ahmed, and Will Asmead.

Quetta Gladiators appointed Sarfaraz Ahmed as brand ambassador.

Multan Sultans:

Multan Sultans have retained Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Osama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Ehsanullah and Faisal Akram in the team.

Islamabad United:

Islamabad United’s Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Alex Hales, Colin Munro and Roman Raees are on the list of retained players.

United has appointed its experienced all-rounder Faheem Ashraf as the brand ambassador.

It should be noted that the PSL 9 draft will be held on December 13 in Lahore to select the remaining players.

Karachi Kings released Mohammad Amir, Quetta Gladiators released Mohammad Nawaz and Lahore Qalandars released Fakhr Zaman.
