Anti-polio campaign started today in different cities across the country.

A 7-day anti-polio campaign has been started from today across Sindh including Karachi.

According to the spokesman of the Sindh Health Department, a target of immunizing more than 1 crore children has been set in Sindh, while more than 80,000 polio workers and supervisors are participating in the anti-polio campaign.

According to the spokesman, more than 5300 police personnel have been deployed for the security of polio workers.

5 cases of polio reported in Pakistan

According to the spokesman of the health department, 5 cases of polio have been reported in Pakistan this year, 3 cases have been reported from Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and 2 cases from East district of Karachi city of Sindh.

In the last 2 months, several positive environmental samples of poliovirus have been reported in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city.

Punjab: Also in different cities Anti-polio campaign started

Anti-polio campaign has also started in different cities of Punjab from today.

The Deputy Commissioner of Gujarat city of Punjab, Safdar Work, says that the 3-day anti-polio campaign has been started, the anti-polio campaign will continue from November 27 to 29.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, 4 lakh 96 thousand 555 children will be given drops during the campaign.

According to Multan Commissioner Aamir Khattak, the national anti-polio campaign will continue from November 27 to December 1, strict legal action will be taken against the parents for refusing to administer anti-polio drops.

According to Aamir Khattak, polio camps have also been set up in public places including the general bus stand.

Commissioner Multan has said that no case of polio has been reported in Multan division this year.

An anti-polio campaign has been started in Hafizabad district of Punjab which will continue for 5 days.

According to CEO Health of Hafizabad, 998 teams of health department have been formed for anti-polio campaign.

An anti-polio campaign has been started by administering polio vaccine to children in Gujranwala city of Punjab.

During the anti-polio campaign, more than 982 thousand 184 children will be given polio vaccine.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala, the anti-polio campaign will continue from November 27 to December 1.

Anti Polio Campaign in 6 Divisions of KPK

Anti-polio campaign has been started in 6 divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, Malakand and Hazara.

According to Peshawar’s Emergency Operation Center, 53 thousand police personnel have been deployed for the security of polio teams, while 31 thousand 392 teams have been formed for the anti-polio campaign.

According to the report of the health department, 3 cases of polio have been reported from Bannu this year.

A 7-day anti-polio campaign has also started in Khyber Bhar district of KPK from today.

Regarding this, DC Sanaullah has said that in the campaign, a target of 228,000 children has been set for vaccination against polio, and 945 teams have been formed for the anti-polio campaign.

Balochistan: The special campaign continued on the fourth day

The special anti-polio campaign in the cities of Quetta, Pashin and Qila Abdullah of Balochistan province continues today for the fourth day.

On the other hand, a special anti-polio campaign is being started in other districts of Balochistan from today.
