Islamabad: The Lahore High Court issued a notice of contempt of court to SSP Islamabad for not bringing Parvez Elahi home safely despite the court order and sought an explanation.
According to Express News, a contempt petition was heard in the Lahore High Court in the matter of PTI President Pervez Elahi not being brought home safely. The petition has been filed by Parvez Elahi’s wife Qaisara Elahi, on which the court has issued a notice of contempt of court to SSP Islamabad.
Justice Sultan Tanveer of the court, while giving notice of contempt of court, directed SSP Islamabad to appear on December 18 or appear through a lawyer.
The court has sought an explanation for contempt of court from SSP Islamabad for not following its orders.
