Announcement of the national squad for the tour of Australia, new names included

The Pakistan Test squad for the tour of Australia has been announced. Saeem Ayub, Khurram Shahzad, Faheem Ashraf and Mir Hamza were made part of the squad while Mohammad Harira was left out of the squad.

The chief selector of the national cricket team, Wahab Riaz, announced the test squad while holding a press conference in Lahore.

He said that Sahibzada Farhan remained the top scorer but there is no place in the squad yet. Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafiq and Shaan Masood are performing in the top order.

He said that Haris Rauf withdrew himself from playing Tests.

Wahab Riaz said that Haris Rauf was spoken to for the tour, we tried to provide all possible facilities to Haris, the physio said that there is no such fitness issue going forward.

The Chief Selector said that Naseem Shah will start bowling in the next three weeks while Mohammad Hasnain has started training and will start practicing in one to two weeks.

Wahab Riaz said that Hasan Ali has had a good performance in the county season, also has experience. A player like Hasan Ali will perform well in Australia.

The national squad includes Shan Masood, Amir Jamal, Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Imamul Haq.

Khurram Shahzad, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Saeem Ayub, Shaheen Afridi and Salman Ali Agha are also part of the squad.

Wahab Riaz said that Shahnawaz Durmani, Shadab Khan, Osama Mir, Usman Qadir and Muhammad Nawaz will join the camp.

Similarly Noman Ali, Kashif Ali, Arshad Iqbal will also join the camp.

The 3-Test series between Pakistan and Australia will begin on December 14.

The first Test between the two teams will be played in Perth from December 14 to 18.

The second Test between Pakistan and Australia will be played in Melbourne from December 26 to 30, while the third and final Test is scheduled in Sydney from January 3 to 7.
