Peshawar: The hearing on the petition filed for the disqualification of Imran Khan was adjourned on the request of the PTI chairman’s lawyer.
A 2-member bench comprising Justice Abdul Shakur and Justice Syed Arshad Ali of Peshawar High Court heard the petition filed by Provincial President of Awami National Party Amil Wali Khan for the disqualification of Chairman PTI.
During the hearing, PTI Chairman’s lawyer Qazi Anwar applied for adjournment of the hearing, on which the court further adjourned the hearing.
In the petition filed for the disqualification of Chairman PTI, it has been argued that Imran Khan has hidden assets in the nomination papers, he should be disqualified. Imran Khan sold Tosha Khana gifts illegally.
According to the petition, Imran Khan did not disclose his wife’s jewelery worth 7 million in the nomination papers. Imran Khan hid assets in the by-election nomination papers form which is a violation of Election Act 2017.
Later, the court adjourned the further hearing of the case on the request of PTI chairman’s lawyer.
