On Friday, the dollar rose by 48 paise against the rupee, with the dollar gaining 48 paise to close at Rs 280.57 at the inter-bank exchange. Yesterday, the dollar closed at 280 rupees 9 paise in the interbank.
In the open market, the dollar closed at 281 rupees 50 paise, down by 50 paise. The dollar closed at Rs 282 in the open market yesterday.
In the currency market, the Euro remained stable at Rs 297, while the British Pound gained 50 paise to Rs 343.
The value of Saudi riyal increased by 30 paise to close at 75 rupees 50 paise, similarly, the value of the UAE dirham increased by 20 paise to 79 rupees 20 paise.
