Lahore: The court rejected Yasmin Rashid’s bail plea, on the other hand, Lahore High Court also rejected Sanam Javed’s plea against arrest.
The Anti-Terrorism Court rejected the bail application of Dr. Yasmeen Rashid in the Shad Maan police station case. Judge Arshad Javed pronounced the decision to reject the bail. On the other hand, Lahore High Court rejected the plea of not arresting social media activist Sanam Javed in secret cases and summoned the details of the cases registered against Sanam Javed on October 19.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard the petition of Sanam Javed, in which the petitioner’s lawyer told the court that first Sanam Javed was arrested by the police, then she was not produced in any court. We filed a writ of habeas corpus in the court. We came to know that he has been arrested under 3MPO. Later, Sanam Javed was arrested in another case.
The petitioner said that when Sanam Javed got bail in the case, she was arrested again. We must be assured that they will not be arrested again.
Later, the Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing till October 19, seeking a report from the public prosecutor.
