Karachi: Aggrieved candidates and parents staged an all-out protest at the Karachi Press Club against the cancellation of the MD CAT results by the caretaker provincial government.
According to the details, a protest was held by the affected candidates and parents of MD CAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) 2023 in front of Karachi Press Club.
During the protest, the protestors complained that irregularities are being seen in MD CAT every year, we have secured our seats, but re-examination is not allowed.
The candidates said that we did not study for the last one and a half months, because we did not know that the caretaker provincial government would give instructions to conduct the MD CAT again.
Candidates said that we have not only worked hard for the MD CAT paper, but we have also studied day and night for good results in Matriculation and Inter.
In this regard, the parents said that the caretaker chief minister of Sindh has shown irresponsibility by canceling the results, our children were busy preparing the paper oblivious to the world, the candidates are suffering from mental stress, children sometimes cry due to the tension of the future. So Khabi opens the books again for fear of failure and sits down.
He said that the copying students should be disqualified, if the exam is held again, what is the guarantee that there will be no paper leaks or merit killing again?
The parents said that those who leaked the papers or the children who benefited from the leaked papers are sitting comfortably, but these children belonging to the middle class have come out on the streets.
The protesters demanded that legal action be taken against those involved in the paper leak under the MD CAT Act, according to which anyone who violates the act is punished with three years in jail.
Mutahirahan warned that if the demands are not approved, the Chief Minister will be forced to turn to the House and the Governor’s House.
