Karachi: Due to the collapse of the roof of the house under construction, 4 people, including the workers, died, while the injured have been shifted to the hospital.
According to the police, the roof of an under-construction house collapsed in Shah Faisal Colony No. 5, killing 4 people including the laborers and injuring some others. As soon as the incident was reported, police and rescue teams reached the spot and started rescue operations.
The rescue teams took out the workers buried under the debris and shifted them to the hospital. According to initial reports, the collapsed roof of the house was made of tiles and beams. According to the eyewitness worker, 8 to 9 people were present in the building at the time of the incident, including masons and sandblasting workers.
Due to the collapse of the building, a person selling children’s items was also hit by the debris and died on the spot.

According to the Deputy Commissioner Karachi, after 3 more bodies were removed from the debris, the death toll has increased to 4, while some laborers are still buried under the debris, whose death is being feared. 4 injured workers have been taken out from the debris of the collapsed under-construction building and shifted to the hospital.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori expressed regret over the death of workers due to the collapse of an under-construction building in Shah Faisal Colony and prayed for their forgiveness and patience for the families. He asked for a detailed report of the incident from the Commissioner Karachi.
