Not only Afghans, action is being taken against all illegal residents, Foreign Office

Islamabad: Spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said that Pakistan is taking action against not only Afghan refugees but all illegal residents.

In the weekly briefing, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office further said that India is engaged in anti-Pakistan propaganda while India is also involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan. It is the responsibility of the Indian government to create an enabling environment. The security of the Pakistani cricket team is the duty of the host country.

He said that Pakistan is not against Afghan transit trade but against the misuse of Afghan transit trade. There has been no change in Pakistan’s policy regarding Afghan refugees. Pakistan has openly hosted millions of refugees over the years. Pakistan is not against Afghan refugees but against illegal migrants.

The spokesman said that Pakistan is taking action against all illegal residents including Afghan refugees, not against any particular citizenship. Pakistan will continue discussions with the Afghan Interim Government in this regard. The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan will meet on the sidelines of the international conference in Tibet, in which bilateral issues will be discussed exclusively.

Speaking about the elections in the country, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the Election Commission has written a letter regarding the international election observers. He said that the government will cooperate with the Election Commission to conduct transparent elections.

According to the spokesman, the talks between Pakistan and GCC have been successfully completed. There has been progress on a free trade agreement between the parties. Pakistan organized an event in Geneva in collaboration with the OIC Group for the elimination of hatred, hatred and discrimination.

The spokesman further said that the atrocities of the Indian occupation army in Jammu and Kashmir are continuing. 13 innocent Kashmiris have been killed in the month of September. These atrocities are a clear violation of human rights stipulated by the Geneva Convention, the United Nations.
