Islamabad: Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Supra issued a notice on the plea of ​​acquittal against Fawad Chaudhry in the contempt Election Commission case and called for arguments on October 23.

In the plea of ​​acquittal filed by lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, the stand has been adopted that the case against Fawad Chaudhry was made on political grounds, there is no evidence in the case and the provisions of the FIR are not applicable. Even basic evidence could not be obtained in the challan. Plaintiff is an employee of Election Commission, his statement was not even adduced to support his statement.

The court has been requested to accept the plea of ​​acquittal in this case.

The court adjourned the hearing till October 23 by issuing notices to the parties on Fawad Chaudhry’s acquittal plea.
