Caretaker Health Minister Punjab Dr. Javed Akram has said that non-standard conjunctivitis injections were being used throughout Punjab.
Dr. Javed Akram said while talking to the media that the facts will be brought before the public when the ongoing investigation on the use of fake injections is completed.
He says that the case of vision being affected is being fully investigated, the hospital staff are also being investigated.
He has further said that all the requirements of justice will be fulfilled in the investigation.
Javed Akram said that the research team is looking into the manufacturing and clinical issue of the injection.
It should be noted that two persons including the main suspect of the injection scam have been arrested.
Punjab government sources say that the main suspect of the injection scam has been arrested from Faisalabad.
Official sources say that the accused is accused of supplying injections outside Lahore.
