New Delhi: Bananas were also offered as prasad in the Indian temple, one of which was eaten by a 22-year-old Muslim boy, but he had no idea that he would have to pay the price with his life in Modi’s Hindutva society.
According to Indian media, a 22-year-old Muslim boy Muhammad Ishaq was tied to a pole and brutally beaten by an angry mob in the capital New Delhi. He was accused of stealing a banana from the temple on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Hearing that the offering was stolen from the temple, the Hindus became enraged and the extremists beat the unwashed Muslim youth to death with sticks, rods and sticks. Due to which he died.
Ishaq’s 60-year-old father told Al Jazeera that his son was killed just for touching Prasad. They were disgusted as to why a Muslim touched their offerings.
Ishaq’s sister, Uzma, also spoke to Al Jazeera, saying that some of her brother’s nails were broken and some were pulled out, and some of the fingers were cut off by the roots.
Uzma further said that Ishaq was picked up from the street by a local boy in a badly injured condition and brought home where he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Neighbors told Al Jazeera that Ishaq was mentally challenged and a very innocent boy who did not know religion, creed, caste, caste or community.
