If 2018-style elections are held, there will be stiff resistance, JUI said

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, while welcoming the date of general elections in January by the Election Commission, expressed its desire for impartial elections in the country.

Jamiat Ulema Islam Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari has said in a statement that JUI has always demanded timely and transparent elections.

He said that we have made it clear to the Election Commission that if the date of 2018 is repeated in the elections, there will be stiff resistance. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi said that the Election Commission Officer of each district should be given RO powers so that the transparency of the election is not questioned.
