A case has been registered against the accused under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act while raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused.

According to the statement, 63 accused were arrested during the raids and 49 cases were registered against those who illegally smuggled Hindi currency and currency while 11 inquiries were also registered.

9 more cases were also registered after these allegations were proved in the inquiries. According to the police officials, during the crackdown against those doing illegal business of currency and currency, a total of 1 lakh 6 thousand 800 US dollars was recovered from August 15, and other foreign currencies worth more than 23 million rupees were also recovered. A total of more than 154 million rupees worth of foreign currency has been recovered during the raids in about 26 days since August 15.
