Criticism of Chief Justice's remarks;  Attorney General's letter to Federal Law Minister

Islamabad: The Attorney General wrote a letter to the Federal Minister of Law on the matter of criticism in the Senate on the Chief Justice’s remarks.

In a letter written to Prime Minister Nazir Tarar, the Attorney General said that the Chief Justice did not make any remarks regarding Nawaz Sharif during the NAB amendment case.

The letter states that some MPs commented on the Chief Justice’s remarks. The Chief Justice’s remarks were reported on social media as untrue.

The Attorney General added in the letter that he was personally present in the court. The Chief Justice had said that an honest Prime Minister had been removed. The Chief Justice did not say that there was only one honest Prime Minister in the country.

The letter said that as the law minister, inform the parliamentarians of the real facts.
