The match between the arch-rivals got off to a thrilling start. First, India took the lead twice, Pakistan equalized both times.
Pakistan then doubled the lead but India scored two more goals to level the score at 4-4 and the time ended on the same score.
A penalty shootout was used to decide the final, in which the Indian team managed to score two goals.
Pakistan could not put the ball in the net even once, so the title of the five-a-side hockey world cup qualifier remained in the name of India.
