Contempt of court request for not bringing Parvez Elahi home, re-arrest also challenged

Lahore, Islamabad: A contempt of court petition was filed for not bringing Parvez Elahi home safely, while his arrest under the MPO was also challenged in the court.

A contempt petition has been filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President and wife of former Punjab Chief Minister Qaisara Elahi in the Lahore High Court for not bringing Chaudhry Parvez Elahi home safely, in which DIG Operations, DIG Investigations. And the SP Security High Court has been made a party.

The petitioner has requested the Chief Justice to schedule the petition for hearing today and has taken a stand that despite the court order, Parvez Elahi was not brought home by the police officers. The court should take contempt of court action against DI operations and DIG investigation.

Meanwhile, on behalf of Parvez Elahi’s wife Qaisara Elahi, a petition was also filed in the Lahore High Court against the abduction of Parvez Elahi from Canal Road and the detention of Parvez Elahi. Abducted by unknown persons. The court ordered the recovery of Parvez Elahi.

On the other hand, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi challenged his arrest under the MPO in the Islamabad High Court.

In the petition filed in the Islamabad High Court by lawyer Abdul Razzaq, it has been requested that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s arrest under the MPO should be annulled. It was stated in the petition that the target is being targeted on political grounds. The MPO of September 1 is illegal. The arrest of the MPO should be annulled and the release should be ordered.
