Rawalpindi: Two days ago, the accused of robbery and torture of a female teacher was injured in a police encounter in the Waris Khan area of the police station.
According to the police, the two robbers who robbed the woman are brothers, one injured and arrested while the other managed to escape. The bandits involved in the serious incident with the woman opened fire on the police party late at night and during the retaliatory fire, one bandit was arrested with injuries while the other escaped while firing.
When the police signaled the suspicious motorcycle to stop, the robbers opened fire on the police. Meanwhile, after the alleged encounter, the injured bandit was identified as Hamza, from whose possession a pistol and a used motorcycle were recovered.
The arrested dacoit has confessed to the incident of robbery and torture of a female teacher in Waris Khan area a day ago in the preliminary investigation. The accused also revealed that the other accomplice was his brother. On the information of the incident, senior police officers reached the spot and the search and blockade is on to arrest the absconding accused.
According to police sources, the accused belong to Sadiqabad area. The accused also stole earrings from an elderly woman in New Town police station area. An incident was also committed against a woman in Khanna area of Sadiqabad police station. The injured robber has been shifted to the hospital. More important revelations are also expected during the investigation.
The arrest of the arrested accused and his accomplice was a challenge for the police. According to the police spokesperson, the robber who escaped will also be arrested soon.
