Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced new central contracts for domestic cricket.
The number of players in central contracts has been increased to 360, the match fee has been reduced at some level but the daily allowance has been increased.
National Cricket Academy Lahore Acting Director Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia and Consultant Domestic and Women’s Cricket Nadeem Khan told the details of domestic cricket in the press conference.
Junaid Zia said that the new structure has given more opportunities to players, players will now be able to play in departments and regions, which will make them financially stable.
Nadeem Khan said that domestic contracts are being given to 360 players in the new season, last year contracts were given to 192 players, the number of categories has been increased from 5 to 7.
He further said that the A plus category player will get Rs 3 lakh per month while the lowest category players will get Rs 50 thousand.
Nadeem Khan said that the daily allowance of the players has been increased by Rs 5 thousand and the food budget has been increased from Rs 1200 to Rs 2 thousand.
