Karachi: The electricity bills shocked the consumers A consumer of Karachi received a bill of Rs 3747 for 2 units, the company flatly refused to reduce the bill.
A unit dated 1873, the honor of using the world’s most expensive electricity went to Muhammad Rizwan of Karachi. Despite the decrease in electricity consumption, due to last year’s 4-month adjustment in tariff, fuel surcharge, additional surcharge and uniform adjustment of smear sales tax, electric city duty, electricity bills have doubled.
Muhammad Rizwan, a citizen of Karachi, received a current bill of 3747 rupees for just 2 units of electricity, in which the bill was increased to 3747 rupees by adding an unknown type of adjustment. But the citizen was vaccinated for Rs.3747.

On receiving the bill of 3747 rupees for 2 units, the customer said that the current electricity bills are not up to the mark. That the taxes, surcharges, additional surcharges and adjustments included in the bills are being collected with the approval of Nepra and no installments can be made in the current bill as per company policy.
Consumers said that it was difficult to cope with the rising inflation, now the heavy bills have bankrupted the people.
