Prigozhin, head of Russia’s private military group Wagner, was killed in a plane crash.
According to British media, a private plane crashed near Moscow, 10 passengers were on board.
British media say that the head of the Wagner Group is also among the dead.
According to Russian authorities, the private plane was traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg, with 3 crew members and 7 passengers on board.
It is clear that the Wagner Group, which achieved success for Russia in Ukraine, turned to the Russian Ministry of Defense in June of this year, announcing a coup against the Russian military leadership.
The Wagner Group had raised a revolt after its vanguard personnel were allegedly targeted by Russian jets.
The Kremlin accused Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin of inciting civil war, and to deal with the situation, tanks took to the streets of Moscow while security was increased in areas bordering Ukraine.
Prigozhin announced the end of the rebellion after the Belarus exile deal with the Kremlin.
Yevgeny Prigozhin said the march was aimed at protesting the ineffective conduct of the war in Ukraine.
