Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the caretaker government has come for a short period of time under the constitution. The policies of the previous government will continue.
While talking in the cabinet meeting, the caretaker prime minister said that he will continue to follow the usual policies. In case of serious violation of rules and regulations, there is an option to intervene. Our main responsibility is to provide full support for elections.
He said that the caretaker government has the authority to run the day-to-day affairs. All ministers take briefing from their respective ministries. The agenda of the next cabinet meeting will be decided on the basis of the briefing. We cannot make a big change in the government system.
It should be noted that a meeting of the Interim Federal Cabinet chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar was held in Islamabad today, in which he informed the Federal Cabinet about his visit to Jaranwala.
The Prime Minister said that extremism and religious tension will never be allowed in the country. Protection of minorities in Pakistan is one of the prime duties of the state. The people involved in the incident of Jardanwala will be definitely punished.
In the meeting, the cabinet has decided to organize an inter-faith harmony conference at the national level next week. In this regard, the cabinet has issued instructions to invite scholars of different religions and schools of thought at the international level in the conference. The conference will be an important milestone for the promotion of interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
Also, the Federal Cabinet, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance, has fixed the amount of Dit, which is equivalent to 30,630 grams of silver, to Rs 6,757,902 for the financial year 2023-24.
