Why did Dara Singh join Modi's party, angry activist throws ink on face

Lucknow: An angry activist threw ink on the face of a political leader who left the Samajwadi Party and joined the BJP in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

According to Indian media reports, Dara Singh Chauhan, a local leader in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, had arrived in a town of Mau district for election campaign, where an angry activist threw ink on him.

Dara Singh faced this backlash for leaving the Samajwadi Party to join the BJP, a video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which he can be seen throwing ink on his face.

BJP had nominated Dara Singh Chouhan as its candidate for the September 5 Ghosi by-election in Mao district.

Dara Singh won the election in 2022 on a Samajwadi Party ticket but resigned from the assembly seat and is now contesting the election on a BJP ticket from the same seat. Dara Singh is facing public anger for leaving the Samajwadi Party and contesting elections from the BJP.

After throwing the ink, they left the election campaign unfinished, while the person who threw the ink also fled the place, for whom the police have started a search.
