Sheikh Rasheed approached Islamabad High Court for bail

Islamabad: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, arrested in the case of accusing Asif Zardari of plotting the assassination of Imran Khan, has approached the Islamabad High Court for bail, which is likely to be heard on Monday.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has submitted a post-arrest bail application in the Islamabad High Court. Earlier, the sessions court had rejected Sheikh Rasheed’s bail plea.

In the bail application, it has been argued that the cases are being registered to target political vendetta. A case was registered against Asif Zardai on the statement which was registered not on the complaint of the victim but on the complaint of another person.

According to the petitioner, I am in jail and now the police do not need me for any further investigation. Be prepared to submit bail bonds, requesting the court to issue bail orders.
