Karachi: Negotiations between the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association and the government on the margin of petroleum products were successful.
Sources said that after the approval of the parties, the agreement has been put into writing, while the agreement will be signed by representatives of the Ministry of Petroleum, OGRA and petroleum dealers.
Sources said that during the meeting, the Ministry of Petroleum proposed an increase of Rs. 1.64 in the margin per liter, which was denied by the petroleum dealers for several hours in the meeting and later the dealers accepted this proposal of the Ministry.
Sources said that now the increase in dealer margin will be done in four stages every 15 days instead of one time. Sources said that the margin will be increased by 41 paise per liter every 15 days.
In this regard, the sources further said that the margin will be increased only four times for the purpose of increasing the margin of the dealers, in this way the petroleum dealers will get the full suggested margin in two months. Earlier, the petroleum dealers were demanding an increase of Rs. 5 in their current margin of Rs. It was indicated to make the wages and working hours subject to 8 hours.
