US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Elizabeth Horst has said that the announcement of the elections is encouraging, hoping for free, fair and peaceful elections.
In his statement, he said that there is a sustainable partnership between Pakistan and America, Pakistan and America have common interest in many matters.
He further said that economy and climate change are major challenges for Pakistan.
Elizabeth Horst added that the US is the largest buyer of Pakistani products, last year the trade was 9 billion dollars, foreign direct investment from the US was 250 million dollars.
The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State further said that 215 million dollars were given to Pakistan for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
