The petition against the forced resignation of the Navy officer was disposed of

Instructions issued to the Chief of Naval Staff for decision on the petitioner’s representation

The Islamabad High Court has disposed of the plea against forced resignation of the Navy officer.

Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri disposed of Lt. Hafiz Muhammad Habibullah’s application with directions.

The Islamabad High Court in its written order issued instructions to the Chief of Naval Staff to decide on the petitioner’s representation.

In the written decision, it has been said that according to the petitioner’s counsel, under the Pakistan Navy Rules, the federal government can compel resignation or forced retirement.

In the written decision, it was said that according to the lawyer, the petitioner filed a representation with the Chief of Naval Staff under the Pakistan Navy Rules.

The court has directed that if the petitioner has filed a representation with the Chief of Naval Staff to decide on it, the petitioner should also be given an opportunity to be heard before the representation.

Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued a two-page written order to dispose of the petition.
