The bill to empower local bodies and heads was presented in the Sindh Assembly.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Chawla presented the bill in the Sindh Assembly.
According to the text of the bill, the mayors and chairman of Sindh will be the chairman of the development authority in the respective divisions and districts, the chairman of KDA, LDA, MDA will be the mayor of Karachi.
The text of the bill states that the Chairman of the Hyderabad Development Authority will be the Mayor of Hyderabad, the Regional Chief Executive of the Solid Waste Management Authority will also be one of the 3 recommended officers in consultation with the Mayor concerned.
According to the text of the Bill, the Chairman of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board will be the Mayor Karachi, the Chief Executive in the Water Board will be one of the 3 officers proposed by the Mayor Karachi.
The text of the bill also states that the chairman of Sehun Development Authority will be the head of the concerned council, all the employees of the development authority will be subordinate to the council.
