AThe US military has told Congress that China has more ICBM launchers than we do.
According to the Wall Street Journal report, China has more land-based and mobile (moving) launchers than the United States.
General Anthony Cotton, commander of the US Army’s Strategic Command, told Congress in a January 26 letter.
The letter did not say that China has more missiles or nuclear warheads, but that the US is lagging behind in missile launchers.
After receiving this letter, the Republican members of the Congress Armed Services Committee made a joint statement that the time has come for America to wake up.
The statement said that it would not be wrong to say that China is modernizing its nuclear power and this process is proceeding rapidly.
“We don’t have time to adjust our nuclear force to compete with both Russia and China, which should mean having more numbers and new capabilities,” the members said.
The American broadcasting agency said in its report that the United States has more than a dozen submarines that can launch intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The report added that the US has more than 5,000 nuclear warheads, while China has recently crossed the 400 mark.
