Lahore: FIA’s banking court has released Pervez Elahi in the money laundering case.
According to Express News, Parvez Elahi has submitted bail bonds in the FIA banking court in the money laundering case. After the completion of the process of checking the bail bonds of Parvez Elahi, the Banking Court approved the bail bonds and issued the warrant for Parvez Elahi’s release.
The court granted Parvez Elahi’s post-arrest bail against a bond of five lakh rupees. On behalf of Parvez Elahi, Rasakh Elahi submitted the surety bonds. The FIA objected to the approval of the surety bonds, which was rejected by the court.
The FIA had pleaded that Rasakh Elhi is named in another case, so his bail bond should not be granted, but the court did not accept this plea.
In view of their release, a heavy contingent of police arrived outside the camp jail, police officers are also present outside the camp jail, anti-rights force officials have also arrived outside the camp jail.
Parvez Elahi is expected to be released soon after the court arrest warrant is issued, but the sources say that there is a possibility of his re-arrest and the police may arrest Parvez Elahi under 3 MPO.
Armored vehicle is also present outside the jail, an order may be issued by DC Lahore to re-arrest Chaudhry Parvez Elahi under 3 MPO.
