To end the tension over the land dispute in Karam district, the government constituted a jirga

Peshawar: The Interior Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formed a 30-member Jirga to control the unpleasant situation in Karam district.

A 30-member Jirga was formed to control the ongoing armed conflict over the land dispute in the tribal district of Karam and sent a government committee to Karam for a ceasefire from both sides.

According to the Home Department, members of the government committee have reached Karam for negotiations with both sides, while Section 144 has been imposed to control the situation in the area.

The Interior Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the help of the army and FC has been sought to stop the conflict in Karam. According to the Interior Department, 7 people have died and 34 have been injured in recent incidents.

The provincial government has issued orders to the revenue department to prepare a comprehensive report regarding lands.

On the other hand, the ANP Pakhtunkhwa formed a special jirga for peace due to the ongoing tension in Karam. Which will be led by Provincial Vice President Shahi Khan Sherani.

Among other members of the Jirga, former MPA Nisar Mohmand, Maulana Khanzeb and Pir Haider Ali Shah, former MPA Gul Sahib Khan Khattak, Nisar Lala and Ayaz Wazir will also be part of the Jirga.

Provincial President Amil Wali Khan issued instructions to the special Jirga to play a role for peace. In his statement, he said that Jirga members should work together with the district organization in Karam for peace. Required.

He said that only enemies will benefit from war, our victory is in peace, ANP will continue its all possible efforts to establish lasting peace.
