Rahim Yar Khan: In Sindh’s Kacha area, bandits lured a cheap car and killed a citizen who was being kidnapped for non-payment of ransom.

According to Punjab Police, taxi driver Arshad Mehmood, a resident of Rawalpindi, was lured by a cheap vehicle in the rural area of ​​Obaro and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from his family.

According to the police, for non-payment of ransom, the robbers killed the taxi driver and dumped his body in Ronti, a border area of ​​Kacha.

Police said Arshad Mahmood reached Obaro Sindh on June 26 after seeing a cheap car ad on Facebook, where he stayed in a hotel and sent a picture of his safe arrival to his son on WhatsApp.

The taxi driver gave a message to his son to contact the car owners and buy the vehicle and reach back to Rawalpindi by night, then the taxi driver lost contact with the family, later by the unknown kidnappers of Sindh Obaro, through a phone call of 1 crore. A ransom was demanded and the family members were asked to come to Dharki, whereupon the kidnapper’s brother and other relatives reached Sindh Obaro on June 27 and sought the help of the Sindh Police to recover the brother.

According to the Punjab Police, the Sindh Police did not help the kidnapper’s brothers even after two days had passed, after which Dakoon had killed Arshad the kidnapper on June 29 and dumped the body in the border area of ​​Kachha Ronti and then his body was dumped in Machhaka. The police handed over to the heirs.

According to the police spokesman, Taimur Ahmad, the brother of the deceased, narrated all the details himself, the police station Machchka Rahim Yar Khan registered a case of the incident under humanitarian and legal procedures and further action is underway regarding the incident.

District Police Officer Rahim Yar Khan said that the series of intelligence operations is continuing during the Kuchha operation, awareness campaign is also being conducted to prevent the citizens from honey trap.

He said that 05 robbers surrendered, 06 were killed, one was injured and 28 were arrested during the operation in Rahim Yar Khan.
